Associate Operations and Test Engineer
Job Purpose:
Entry level position responsible for the quality of software development outputs, assist in the deployment and provide continued support. This entry-level position offers opportunities to gain hands-on experience with rapidly-evolving technologies in a constantly growing financial technology industry.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in providing day-to-day and continued support of products and various payment solutions launched by the company;
- Track the software deployment and upgrades through review of system setup, system administration, continued monitoring, incident detection and resolution;
- Ensure timely liaison with vendors and internal stakeholders regarding problems, fixes, and required enhancements with the applications;
- Participate in problem management, configuration and change management, service desk, security management and monitoring;
- May actively participate in capacity planning, system availability management, disaster recovery and routine update of services;
- Assist in the adoption, and articulate the risks/opportunities from leveraging different solutions, applications and best practices;
- Participate to oversee the timely evaluation, qualification, and implementation of new software products, tools and related appliances as it pertains to the applications and its environments;
- Work under the Security and IT Service Management, data center, server, and storage management, virtualization, networking, systems management, cloud, and/or project management;
- Support DevSecOps team on standard infrastructure experience: Monitoring, Backups, Disaster Recovery, Incident Response Plan, and Business Continuity in operating mission critical software and application services;
- Execute all levels of testing (Manual, System, Integration, and Regression);
- Detect and track software defects and inconsistencies under the following workflow:
- Formulate Test Automation Script;
- Apply the SQA Testing and Methodologies
- Apply Regression & Negative Testing
- UI Compatibility Testing
- Make Test Plans, Cases & Processes
- Participate in Performance/Load/Stress Testing
Skills/Qualifications:
- General Programming Skills (Software Design, Coding, Debugging, Documentation, and Testing)
- Fresh Graduate of any of the following degree: BS CS, BS IT, CoE
- Good background for the core development skills will be preferred:
- Proficiency with object-oriented programming
- Development experience with any of the following languages: C#, Objective-C, C++, Java, Swift, XAML
- Web development: HTML, HTML5, CSS, CSS3, Ajax & JQuery is
- Experience with Android, iOS, and/or .NET frameworks
- Database: MSSQL, Oracle, MySQL
- DB Programming: SQL, Stored Procedures, Views
- Frameworks: Spring, Struts, Hibernate, Symfony2
- Markup Languages: XML, JSON, SOA (REST/SOAP)
- Platform: Windows, Linux, MacOS
- Services: MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle, Mail (SMTP/POP)
- Version Control: Git
- Cloud: AWS, Azure, GCP
